Are you Insured? Licensed?

Ocean State House Cleaning carries both a general liability and workers compensation insurance policy to protect both our clients and ourselves. There is no licensing requirement, or licensing procedure, for maid services in Rhode Island at this time. 

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a 72-hour notice for all cancellations, regardless of the reason. Our staff depend on their paychecks to support families and they need a full schedule to maximize their earnings. Last minute cancellations chip away at their earning potential and cause financial hardship for our staff. Cleanings canceled with less than a 72-hours notice will result in a cancellation fee. If the team arrives at your home and is not able to gain access, please be aware that you will be charged a lock-out fee equal to the cost of your cleaning. This fee must be paid in order for us to continue with your regular scheduled cleanings and is non-negotiable. Please refer to your service agreement with us for exact details. 

Our staff rarely take days off due to inclement weather. If your cleaning is scheduled to take place on a day after a snow storm, please plan ahead to make sure the driveway and walkways are accessible to our staff.  Cancellations caused by un-shoveled walkways or driveways will result in a lock-out fee. 

I want to skip my weekly or bi-weekly cleaning. Can I do that?

The cost of your weekly or bi-weekly service includes a discount for frequency of service. If you cancel and reschedule your cleaning for more than 3 days after when your regular cleaning should have taken place, or if you skip a cleaning all together, the cost of your next cleaning will be adjusted upwards to reflect the extra amount of time your cleaning team will need to spend in the home on their next visit. As always, we require a 72-hour notice on all cancellations or reschedules.  Please see your service agreement for exact details.  

What happens if I am not happy with my cleaning?

We offer a 100% Happiness Guarantee on our services. If you are not happy with your service, please call within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will send the team out the next day to re-do any areas of concern.

In order for our 100% Happiness Guarantee to remain in effect for your cleaning, it is essential that you call us within 24 hrs of your cleaning if you are not satisfied. You must allow us re-access to the home within 48-hours of the time of the original cleaning so that we can re-clean any areas of concern. If you do not contact us in the allotted time, or do not allow us access to the home to re-clean any areas of concern, then our 100% Happiness Guarantee will be voided.  We do not offer refunds under any circumstances.
